Today I’m going to do a special blog post. The reason it is special is because I’m not reviewing a restaurant or a product. What I’m reviewing is a place called Farm Sanctuary in Acton, California. I normally wouldn’t do this but I just wanted to give you a treat and I thought it was important to share. I hope you will read this and think about being vegetarian or vegan and help animals. If you already are, maybe you can tell other people to come here. Also, people who love nature and animals would love this place.
We saw all types of animals that were all rescued from factory farms or bad places. We saw turkeys, chickens, goats, cows, horses, pigs and even a llama. My favorite was the chicken because we got to pet one and they looked very happy. I hope this tempts you to go see the animals because they like visitors. But I should tell you that I also saw a goat poop!
I learned that pigs are actually very clean animals. Also, our tour was one hour long. During that time 1 million animals were killed on factory farms for food. I find that very upsetting. That is such a huge, big number. I think I can help teach the world a lesson that there are other good choices than killing animals for food. That is my hope for the future.
