“MOM? Is my snack ready yet?” I came into the house, ready to eat my late morning snack. My mom handed me a buffet plate with crackers with hummus and an olive on top and and pepper boats and cashews on the side. Pepper boats are peppers that you cut in half and then you fill them with all kinds of things. These were filled with almond butter. I decided that writing about this brand of hummus would be a good post.
The brand I’m reviewing is Cedar’s Organic Hommos, roasted red pepper flavor. It’s very, very filling and I usually eat it on sandwiches or crackers. Sometimes I dip veggies into it too. It tastes very red peppery and it is very creamy. Hummus is made from chick peas and tahini and they mash the chick peas and mix it together. This is a very good source of protein.
This week I just finished first grade and if you keep reading my blog (which I think you should) my summer just started and I have almost two and a half months of vacation. I will be posting much more often including more restaurants and more products. If you have been to any restaurants that you really like please send the recommendation to me and I might go and review it on my blog. Or if you are looking for products you can ask me and I might be able to tell you a suggestion and review a product that would be good for you.
Back to the post: if you want to see my whole lunch I’m putting a photo up for you to see, right here:
I hope you enjoy the hummus!

June 17, 2014 11:59 amHey, Sweet Boy, this is Michelle Guerrie in Ashland, Oregon. I love it when you talk about food! It really helps me in my job. I am the Demo Coordinator at the Ashland Food Co-op. Would you taste similar items and compare them? Let’s say, refrigerated milks (vegan, of course) vs. aspectic milks. How about for the summer some vegan frozen treats? Thanks, Good Sir. I love you, Michelle
