Shiftcon Blew My Mind. POW!!!

This past week I did something amazing.  Really amazing. I’m pretty sure you won’t believe it.   Watch my video to hear what I was up to…

Yes, that’s right. You heard it.  I went to a blogger conference called Shiftcon.  My first conference.  When we checked in I thought we were going to get a swag bag.  I was right. Except that there were three swag bags!  They were filled with loot!  And throughout the conference I got even more stuff from brands.  Check it out!

One of the most amazing parts of the conference was the people I met.  Right when I got there I got to meet Leah Segedie.  She is the one who invited me to come here and she runs the conference.  She is also really well known in the blogging world.  I also saw my friend Tamara Rubin who runs Lead Safe America. She also snuck me into the pool since I wasn’t staying at the hotel.  Here is Tamara with me and my mom.

I also met lots of nice new people.  Many of them were famous bloggers!  And some of them were just getting started.  I thought everybody was super nice.

Below is Andrea Donsky. Her blog is called Naturally Savvy and you can check her out too!

I also got to meet Janice Roodsari.  She was also really friendly and she knows my friend Tamara too.

I also got to meet two people I have wanted to meet.  I met Catherine McCord from Weelicious.  We make her recipes a lot and my brother also really likes to watch her videos.  And on the last day I got to meet Robyn O’Brien.  She was super nice too.  Robyn was speaking there because she is one of the people who is working hard to make food safer.  I have a lot of friends with really bad food allergies and Robyn is really frustrated because she thinks a lot of the allergies are because of the chemicals that some companies are putting in our food.  I think that we should not buy food from those companies and then they would go out of business.

I went to a lot of workshops too.  They were an hour and a half long.  Most people thought I couldn’t sit through them.  But here is a picture of me listening intently.

I learned that some bloggers post things on Facebook every hour! I definitely do not have time to do that since I am in school and have other activities.  But I might consider posting more often.  I also got really inspired to start Instagram and I met a couple of people who offered to help me with that because they are really good at it.

I also gave out a lot of business cards to brands and some of them were really excited to work with me.  Some of these were already my favorite brands so I feel very lucky.

All in all, I had a great experience at Shiftcon 2015. I can’t wait to go back next year!

Shiftcon sounds like it was truly an unmitigated success, Max! And yes, dropping that “unmitigated” thing was deliberate and intended to (perhaps) offer you another kind of adventure today…so keep having fun, buddy!!!

Wow!, Max. I am so impressed with what you’ve done. And, as an aside, I was happy to see your mom’s childhood “teddy bear” blanket in the picture! ( Had to add that as mom and grandma.) Your blog is amazing!

TMax I’m so impressed that you are so involved with your blog. It is truly amazing for a 9-year old boy what you have accomplished with that!
