Tantalizing Untuna Salad

Today for my lunch I had an Untuna Melt.  This was Untuna Salad on bread with melted cheese on top.  Actually, one with vegan cheddar and the other with vegan pepperjack.   But you might be thinking: what in the world is Untuna salad?  Well, you know how some people like tunafish? They eat it on a sandwich or on a salad and can even make a tuna melt? This is a vegan and gluten free version.  It is high in protein and has lots of taste.  Check it out!

To make Untuna you just need four ingredients! You need cooked chickpeas, celery, mayonnaise (I use vegan mayo) and onion granules.

First, take 2 cups of cooked chickpeas and smash them to pieces! Hahahaha (I am saying this in an evil voice).

Then mix in 3 Tablespoons of mayo, 3/4 Cup of diced celery and 3 Teaspoons of granulated onion.  What is great about this recipe is that you can adjust all of the different ingredients like putting in more celery or less mayo or lots of onion flavor.  It’s up to you!

You can eat this on crackers, in sandwiches or just plane off the spoon.

Sometimes we put a scoop with our salad or make it into an Untuna Melt, just like today.  To make an Untuna Melt, just spread some butter or vegan butter substitute on the back of bread and throw it in a pan on medium heat.  Spread the Untuna on the bread and top it off with cheese until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melting.

MMMMMMMMMMM!!!

DELISH!!!!!!
