Muse on 8th Brightened Up My Day

My review today is about a new and exciting restaurant that I 110% guarantee that you will enjoy.  My mom and I wanted to do special time so we went here for lunch.  I don’t think I could have asked for anything better than this experience.

Muse on 8th is about a thirty minute drive from where we live.  It’s a little bit far on weekdays, but on the weekend when there’s less traffic it is a little more convenient.  But I think a 6 hour drive would even be worth the sandwich I got there.

I have to admit, I was thinking this place would be a little bit more like a dining place, like a diner or a booth restaurant.  They had white tables instead, and they were placed randomly around the room.  There was artwork on the walls.  Some were pictures of faces, some were town settings, and some were just paint splattered across the frame to make abstract art. They also had board games to play while you wait for your food.  I taught my mom some things about chess and we got to just chat while our hungry stomachs kept reminding us why we were here.

We ordered our lunch and I don’t even know how to describe this.  Really, there are absolutely no words to describe how good this lunch tasted.  Mmmmm!  Cheese, avocado, and tomato with vegan chicken crushed down by two pieces of gluten free bread made the best vegan panini sandwich I HAVE EVER HAD.

My mom ordered something just as good.  Her vegan portobello mushroom spinach and cheese panini was just as good as mine.  We split them in half and each had half of each sandwich.  Mine came with chips and my mom’s dish came with a side salad, so we split those too. The cheese was super gooey and the tomatoes were very juicy.  The creamy avocados blended it all together in a mouth watering feast.  On my mom’s sandwich there was the juicy portobello mushroom.  Yum!  Mixed with the spinach, it was so good. All in all, this was a fantastic meal.  If you are gluten free you should know that not all of their choices are GF, but many of them are, just be sure to ask.  They also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner so if you want a breakfast burrito or some oatmeal or a good dinner option, this place will hook you up in that way too.

If you are searching for a great GF and Vegan sandwich place, and you happen to drive by, stop your car and strut on in, because this meal is going to brighten up your day.
